Tax Reports

Run the Transaction Detail report

The Transaction Detail report gives you a line-by-line view of taxable transactions, including the customer, the state, the tax applied, and any exemption that was in effect.

Open the report

  1. Go to Tax Management > Reports.
  2. Click the Transaction Detail card.

Filter the transactions

  1. Set a Start Date and an End Date.
  2. Optionally choose a State.
  3. Optionally type a name in the Customer box to narrow to one customer.
  4. Click Filter.

Read the results

Each row shows the following columns:

  • Date – the invoice date.
  • Invoice # – the invoice number.
  • Customer – the customer name.
  • State – the customer’s state.
  • Amount – the line amount.
  • Tax Rate – the effective tax rate.
  • Tax Amount – the tax charged.
  • Exemption – shows whether an exemption certificate applied to the transaction.

Results are paginated, so use the page links at the bottom to move through long lists.
