Once you have registered to collect sales tax in a state, record the registration details in Nexus Management so the state shows as Registered and your filing schedule is captured.
Open the registration form
- Go to Tax Management > Nexus Management.
- Click View Details on the state you have registered in.
- In the sidebar, find the Register in [state] form. This appears only while the state is not yet registered.
Enter the registration details
- Registration # (required) – the registration or permit number issued by the state.
- Registration Date (required) – the date your registration took effect.
- Filing Frequency (required) – choose Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual.
- Click Save Registration.
You return to the state detail page with a confirmation message, and the status now shows Registered.
Tip: The filing frequency you choose helps the system estimate when your next return is due, so set it to match what the state assigned to you.
