The search box in the top bar lets you jump straight to records without browsing the menus. This guide shows how to use it.
Where to find it
The search box sits at the top-left of the screen and reads Search accounts, contacts, tickets…
Search for a record
- Click the search box in the top bar.
- Start typing what you are looking for, such as a company, person, or ticket.
- Results appear in a dropdown as you type. While it looks, you will briefly see Searching…
- Click a result to open it.
Quick Actions
The search dropdown also offers Quick Actions grouped by area (such as CRM, Sales, Inventory, and Services) so you can jump to common tasks directly.
Tip: Press Enter to act on a highlighted result, and press Escape to close the search dropdown.
If nothing matches
- Try a shorter or different term — for example, part of a company name.
- Search covers records you have permission to see, so results depend on your access.
