The Transaction Detail report gives you a line-by-line view of taxable transactions, including the customer, the state, the tax applied, and any exemption that was in effect.
Open the report
- Go to Tax Management > Reports.
- Click the Transaction Detail card.
Filter the transactions
- Set a Start Date and an End Date.
- Optionally choose a State.
- Optionally type a name in the Customer box to narrow to one customer.
- Click Filter.
Read the results
Each row shows the following columns:
- Date – the invoice date.
- Invoice # – the invoice number.
- Customer – the customer name.
- State – the customer’s state.
- Amount – the line amount.
- Tax Rate – the effective tax rate.
- Tax Amount – the tax charged.
- Exemption – shows whether an exemption certificate applied to the transaction.
Results are paginated, so use the page links at the bottom to move through long lists.
