Quotes let you put together a priced proposal for a customer, send it for approval, and turn an accepted quote into the next step of your workflow. This article explains what quotes are and where to find them.
What a quote is
A quote is a list of line items (products or services) with quantities and prices, addressed to one of your accounts and, optionally, a specific contact. Each quote has a title, an issue date, and a Valid Until date so the customer knows how long the pricing holds.
Where to find quotes
Open the Quotes area from the navigation. The list shows all of your quotes with their number, account, status, and totals. You can search and filter to find a specific quote.
Key concepts
- Status – every quote moves through a lifecycle: Draft, Sent, Viewed, Accepted, Rejected, and Expired. New quotes always start as Draft.
- Quoted By – the team member credited with the quote. If you do not pick someone, it defaults to you.
- Optional items – line items you can mark as optional. Optional items are left out when a quote is converted to a project, invoice, or work order.
- Converted – once an accepted quote is turned into something else, it is marked Converted and can no longer be edited or deleted.
