Most reports let you narrow the results to a specific time period using the date filter at the top of the page. This is useful when you want to focus on a single month, quarter, or year.
Before you start
Each report opens with a default date range already applied (for example, the last 12 months for revenue, or the current month for time reports). You only need to change the dates if you want a different period.
Steps
- Open Reports from the main navigation.
- Click the report you want to view, such as Revenue Report or Invoice Summary.
- At the top of the report, find the Start Date field and choose the first day of the period you want.
- In the End Date field, choose the last day of the period.
- Click Apply Filter.
- The report reloads and shows only the data that falls within your chosen range.
Tip: Not every report uses dates. A few reports — such as Accounts Aging, Inventory Valuation, Low Stock Alert, and the Employee Directory — always show your current position and don’t have a date filter.
Some reports add other filters alongside the dates, such as a status, customer, or year selector. See Run a customer- or status-filtered report for those.
