Packing is the stage after picking, where you verify the picked items, place them into packages, and record each package’s size and weight so it is ready to ship. The Packing Workstation guides you through this for one order at a time.
Where to find it
Open the Fulfillment area and choose the Packing Workstation. You need the packing permission to use it.
The Packing Workstation
The workstation home lists Orders Ready to Pack and orders currently In Progress, with stats such as Packed Today and Packages Created. Choose an order and select Continue Packing to open it.
Packing slips
Each package is represented by a packing slip that lists the items it contains. When you open an order for packing, a packing slip is prepared for you automatically. You can add more packages if an order ships in multiple boxes. To review all packing slips – and filter or search them – use the Packing Slips page.
Key concepts
- Scan Item Barcode – verify each item by scanning its barcode or SKU so you ship exactly what was ordered.
- Verify All Items – mark everything verified in one step when scanning is not needed.
- Package Information – record the package type, dimensions, and weight.
