Purchase Orders

Edit a purchase order

You can change a purchase order while it is still a Draft or Pending Approval. Once it has been approved or received, it can no longer be edited.

Open the order for editing

  1. Open Purchase Orders and click the order you want to change.
  2. Click Edit (also shown as Edit Purchase Order in the Actions box).

Make your changes

You can update any part of the order, including the Supplier, Receiving Location, Order Date, Expected Delivery, line items, discount, tax rate, shipping, and notes. Add a line item with Add Product, or remove one you no longer need.

Save

  1. Click Save as Draft to keep your changes, or
  2. Click Submit for Approval to save and send the order for approval.

Warning: If a purchase order cannot be edited, the system will tell you and return you to the order. In that case you will need to create a new order instead.
