Create a lead whenever you want to capture a new prospect and start tracking your follow-up.
Steps
- Open Leads from the main navigation.
- Select Create Lead (or New).
- Fill in the lead’s details. Every field is optional, so enter what you know:
- First Name and Last Name
- Company
- Email and Phone
- Title
- Source — where the lead came from
- Status — New, Working, Qualified, or Unqualified
- Rating — Hot, Warm, or Cold
- Estimated value
- Owner — the team member responsible
- Description — any notes or context about this lead
- Select Create to save.
After saving, you are taken to the lead’s detail page where you can log activities, edit it, or convert it later.
Tip: If you leave Owner blank, the lead is assigned to you. If you leave Status blank, it starts as New.
