Create a deal to start tracking a sales opportunity with one of your accounts.
Steps
- Open Deals from the main navigation.
- Select Create (or New Deal).
- Choose the Account the deal is with. This is required.
- Enter the Deal Name. This is required.
- Enter the Value of the deal. This is required.
- Choose the Stage for the deal.
- Add any other details:
- Contact — the person at the account
- Probability — the percentage chance of winning (0 to 100)
- Expected Close date
- Owner and a Description
- Select Create to save.
After saving, you are taken to the deal’s detail page, and a “Deal created” entry is added to its activity timeline.
Tip: If you leave Probability blank, it is filled in from the deal’s stage. If you leave Owner blank, the deal is assigned to you, and if you assign it to someone else they are notified.
