Deals overview

Deals are the sales opportunities you are pursuing with your accounts. The Deals area helps you track each opportunity’s value, the stage it is in, and its progress toward closing.

Where to find Deals

Open Deals from the main navigation. The deals are shown as a Deals Pipeline organized by stage, so you can see at a glance where every opportunity stands.

Key concepts

  • Account is the company the deal is with. Every deal must be linked to an account.
  • Contact is the person at that account associated with the deal (optional).
  • Value is how much the deal is worth.
  • Stage is where the deal sits in your sales process. Stages are defined for your organization and shown as columns in the pipeline.
  • Probability is the likelihood of winning, as a percentage. It can follow the stage automatically or be set by hand.
  • Expected close date is when you expect the deal to close.
  • Owner is the team member responsible for the deal.

The deal detail page

Opening a deal shows its details along with an activity timeline. Changes such as creating the deal or moving it between stages are recorded automatically, and you can add your own activities.

What you can do with a deal

Tip: Deals can also be created automatically when you convert a lead and choose to create a deal.
