Send a quote to a customer

When a quote is ready, you can email it to the customer and track their response. This article covers sending, resending, and recording an approval.

Send a quote

  1. Open the quote you want to send.
  2. Click Send.

The quote is marked as Sent and an email is delivered to the contact’s email address (or the account’s email if the contact has none). The email includes a secure link the customer can use to view the quote online.

Warning: If neither the contact nor the account has an email address on file, the quote cannot be sent. Add an email address first.

Resend a quote

If a quote has already been sent, the button changes to Resend so you can send it again, for example after the customer asks for another copy.

Record an approval on the customer’s behalf

If a customer approves a quote by phone, email, in person, text, or video instead of using the online link, you can record it yourself:

  1. Open a quote that is in Sent or Viewed status.
  2. Click Manual Approve.
  3. Select how the client approved (Phone Call, Email, In-Person, Text Message, Video Call, or Other).
  4. Enter an approval note describing how they approved. This note is required and must be at least 10 characters.
  5. Click Approve Quote.

The quote moves to Accepted and the team member credited on the quote is notified by email.
