Bank Accounts

Set the default bank account

The default bank account is the one used first in lists and summaries. You can change which account is the default at any time.

Steps

  1. From the Accounting menu, open Bank Accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to make the default.
  3. Choose the set-as-default action for that account.

The selected account becomes the default, any previous default is cleared, and you’ll see a confirmation that the account is now the default.

Tip: The default account is shown first on the Bank Accounts list and is the first account suggested on the Finance Dashboard.
