Fulfillment Orders

Put a fulfillment order on hold or resume it

Sometimes you need to pause an order – for example, while you wait on stock or a customer confirmation. You can place a fulfillment order On Hold and later Resume it to return it to its normal flow.

Put an order on hold

  1. Open the fulfillment order.
  2. Choose the option to put the order on hold.
  3. Enter a Reason for the hold. (This is required.)
  4. Confirm. The order’s status changes to On Hold.

Resume a held order

  1. Open the order that is on hold.
  2. Choose to resume the order.
  3. The order returns to the stage it was in before the hold and is ready to continue.

Holding or resuming several orders at once

From the orders list you can select multiple orders and place them all on hold (with one shared reason) or resume them together. Orders that are already shipped, delivered, or cancelled are skipped.

Tip: The hold reason is recorded on the order’s Timeline, so anyone reviewing the order later can see why it was paused.
