Setup

Turn on two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step when you sign in: after your password, you enter a short code from an authenticator app on your phone. This greatly improves the security of your account.

Before you start

Install an authenticator app on your phone (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or a similar TOTP app).

Turn on two-factor authentication

  1. Go to your account security settings.
  2. Begin enabling two-factor authentication and, when prompted, enter your current account password to confirm it is you.
  3. A QR code and a setup key are shown. In your authenticator app, scan the QR code (or enter the key manually).
  4. Your app now shows a rotating 6-digit code. Type the current code into the confirmation field and submit it.

Once the code is verified, two-factor authentication is switched on for your account.

Save your recovery codes

After enabling 2FA, the platform shows a set of one-time recovery codes. These let you sign in if you ever lose access to your authenticator app.

  1. Download or copy the codes and store them somewhere safe.
  2. Acknowledge that you have saved them to finish.

Warning: Each recovery code works only once, and they are shown only at this moment. If you lose them, you can regenerate a new set later from your security settings (your password is required).

Turning it off or resetting codes

You can disable two-factor authentication or regenerate your recovery codes from the same security settings. Both actions require you to confirm your current password.

From now on, signing in will include a code step — see Sign in with a two-factor code.
