A performance review captures feedback and ratings for an employee over a review period. New reviews start as a Draft so you can refine them before sharing.
Steps
- Go to Performance and click Create Review (or New Review).
- Choose the Employee being reviewed and the Reviewer. The reviewer must be a different person from the employee.
- Enter a Title, the Review Period, and the Review Date.
- Optionally enter ratings from 1 to 5 for performance, communication, teamwork, leadership, and technical skill. These combine into an overall rating.
- Optionally add written sections: achievements, areas for improvement, goals for the next period, and reviewer comments.
- Save. The review is created as a Draft and you land on its details page.
Editing a draft
You can edit a review while it is still a Draft. Once it has been submitted, it can no longer be edited.
Tip: Get the ratings and comments right while the review is a Draft. Submitting it locks the content for the employee to acknowledge.
