Create a performance review

A performance review captures feedback and ratings for an employee over a review period. New reviews start as a Draft so you can refine them before sharing.

Steps

  1. Go to Performance and click Create Review (or New Review).
  2. Choose the Employee being reviewed and the Reviewer. The reviewer must be a different person from the employee.
  3. Enter a Title, the Review Period, and the Review Date.
  4. Optionally enter ratings from 1 to 5 for performance, communication, teamwork, leadership, and technical skill. These combine into an overall rating.
  5. Optionally add written sections: achievements, areas for improvement, goals for the next period, and reviewer comments.
  6. Save. The review is created as a Draft and you land on its details page.

Editing a draft

You can edit a review while it is still a Draft. Once it has been submitted, it can no longer be edited.

Tip: Get the ratings and comments right while the review is a Draft. Submitting it locks the content for the employee to acknowledge.
