Tax Filings is where you manage your tax returns and filing deadlines – creating returns for each state and period, marking them as filed, and recording the payments you make.
Where to find it
From Tax Management, open the Upcoming Due Dates panel and click View All Filings, or use the Generate Return shortcut. The list page is titled “Tax Filings” with the description “Manage tax returns and filing deadlines.”
The filings list
The table shows one row per filing with these columns:
- State
- Period
- Due Date
- Status – Draft, Pending, Filed, Paid, or Overdue.
- Tax Due
- Amount Paid
- Actions – a View link to open the filing.
Overdue rows are highlighted so they stand out.
Common tasks
- Create a tax filing
- Filter the filings list
- Mark a filing as filed
- Update a filing’s status and notes
Tip: When you create a filing, the system automatically totals the sales and tax collected for the state and period you choose, so you do not have to add those figures by hand.
