Bank Accounts overview

Bank Accounts let you track the real-world accounts your business uses — checking, savings, credit cards, cash, and more — and link each one to a general ledger (GL) account in your Chart of Accounts.

Where to find it

From the Accounting menu, open Bank Accounts. The default account is listed first, and a Total Balance across all active accounts is shown.

Account types

Key concepts

• Each bank account is linked to a current-asset GL account from your Chart of Accounts.
• One account can be marked as the default.
• Each account keeps an opening balance and a running current balance.
• You can view a transaction register and reconcile the account.
