Job Costing includes two reports that summarize performance across many jobs: the Profitability report and the Labor Utilization report.
Profitability report
- From the Accounting menu, open Job Costing.
- Open the Profitability report.
- Optionally set a Start date and End date. By default it covers the current year to date.
The report separates work orders and projects and shows, for each group, the count of jobs plus total revenue, total cost, total profit, and average margin.
Labor utilization report
- From Job Costing, open the Labor Utilization report.
- Optionally set a Start date and End date. By default it covers the current month.
This report summarizes labor across jobs for the selected period.
Tip: Use a consistent date range when comparing reports so the figures line up.
