Contacts

Contacts overview

Contacts are the individual people you work with at your accounts. Every contact belongs to an account, so you always know which company a person is connected to.

Where to find Contacts

Open Contacts from the main navigation. The list shows your contacts along with their account and owner, and lets you search, filter, and sort.

Key concepts

  • Account is the company the contact belongs to. Every contact must be linked to an account.
  • Status can be Active or Inactive.
  • Owner is the team member responsible for the contact. If you do not pick one, the contact is assigned to you.
  • Portal Access lets a contact log in to the customer portal. When enabled, an invitation can be emailed to the contact.

The contact detail page

Opening a contact shows tabbed sections including Tickets, Deals, Emails, Activity, and Documents, plus a summary of related deals and tickets.

What you can do with a contact

Tip: Contacts are also created automatically when you convert a lead.
