Shipping is the final stage of fulfillment. Here you create a shipment, compare carrier rates, buy a shipping label, and track the package until it is delivered. Shipping is powered by the Shippo integration.
Where to find it
Open the Fulfillment area and choose Shipments. You need the shipping permission to use these features.
The Shipments list
The list shows each shipment with its carrier, tracking number, and status. You can filter by Status or Carrier, and Search by tracking number, recipient name, or invoice number.
How shipping works
A shipment moves through these stages: Pending (created, no rate yet), Rates Retrieved, Label Created, Shipped, and finally Delivered. The usual flow is:
- Create a shipment (most often from a packed fulfillment order).
- Get rates and select the service you want.
- Purchase the label to get a tracking number.
- Hand the package to the carrier and track it.
Warning: Shipping requires the Shippo integration to be set up. If it is not configured, you will be prompted to set it up in Settings & Integrations.
