Edit a work order

Edit a work order

Update the details of a work order before it is completed.

  1. Go to Work Orders and open the work order.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Update any field, including Account, Contact, Title, Description, Type, Priority, Status, the Service address, the schedule (date, start time, end time, estimated duration), the assigned technician, required skills, and internal notes.
  4. Remember that times must be in 30-minute increments and the end time must be after the start time.
  5. Save your changes.

Warning: Completed or cancelled work orders cannot be edited. If you open one for editing, you will be returned to its details with a message.

Add notes and photos

From a work order you can add notes, mark them as customer visible if appropriate, and attach files such as photos or documents.
