Buy from the right supplier on a purchase order

When your products are linked to suppliers with pricing, purchase orders get easier: you see only what a supplier sells you, at the right price.

How it works

  1. Open Purchase Orders and click New Purchase Order.
  2. Choose the Supplier at the top of the order.
  3. Click Add Product. The product picker now shows only products linked to that supplier.
  4. Pick a product — the Unit Cost fills in with that supplier’s price. Change the supplier and the picker and prices update accordingly.

Set it up first

This depends on linking suppliers and prices to your products. If a supplier’s product list looks empty, add that supplier (with a price) on the product. See Link suppliers to a product with per-supplier pricing.

Tip: Only products with inventory tracking turned on can be added to a purchase order.
